About Me
Hi, I'm Noviann!
I am a dedicated and passionate South Coast Biosciences Doctoral Training Partnership (SoCoBio DTP) PhD-trained research scientist from Dr Jennifer Tullet’s Lab at the University of Kent, with a strong background in biomedical sciences and neuroscience. My research in ageing and metabolic biology has explored the molecular mechanisms linking appetite, metabolism, and longevity, uncovering insights with potential relevance for improving health and well-being.
My deep-seated interest in ageing research goes beyond the laboratory. It is rooted in the belief that we have the potential to extend our healthspan while increasing our lifespan, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals and for an ageing society as a whole.
Leader | Academics | Research
My aim and desire are to make a noticeable contribution to our society. I am driven by the conviction that through rigorous scientific inquiry and collaborative efforts, we can unlock breakthroughs that will shape the future of ageing and pave the way for healthier, more fulfilling lives for generations to come.
Join me on this journey as we explore the various aspects of ageing and metabolic research, seeking to make a positive and lasting impact on the well-being of everyone!
Skills I possess
My research journey has equipped me with a diverse set of laboratory skills, including proficiency in molecular biology and microscopy. I have had the privilege of working extensively with the C. elegans model organism, allowing me to explore intricate aspects of metabolism, nutrition and the ageing process and its wider implications.
